RUTH RENSKERS

February 18, 1930 - January 1, 2019

Ruth M Renskers, 88, passed away at Northridge Care Facility.

Ruth was born February 18, 1930 in Appleton, Minnesota to Harold and Ersie Frey. She was raised on a farm with her 4 siblings in Laporte, Minnesota. It was in Laporte that she met her future husband, Charles C Renskers. They were married on August 3, 1947 after Charles returned home from WWII. In 1951 they left Minnesota with their two small children and settled in Ashland, Oregon. There they had 3 more children before moving to Talent. In Ashland she was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church.

She and her husband continued to live in Talent and even after her husband passed in 2012 until moving into Northridge Assisted Care Facility in Medford in 2016.

Ruth worked waiting tables or cooking in many local restaurants in Ashland and Talent until settling in at Harry and David in the packing house where she retired in 2003 as a supervisor. She and her husband were very active in the Talent Lions Club and the Talent Friends Church for many years. She and Charles loved to spend time in their RV at the Oregon coast, in the mountains or camping with family, especially on Memorial and Labor Day weekends, where they could be with 4 generations of family members.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Harold Jr. (Sonnie), Donald (Donnie), Clarence Frey, and grandson Michael Renskers. She is survived by her sister: Darlene (Bob) Johnson, Laporte, Minnesota, sons: Chet (Kathy) Blaine, Washington, Stan (Michele) Boulder, Montana, Gordon (Patty) and Steve (Kelly) Renskers, Medford, Oregon and daughter: Barbara (Dwayne) McIntosh Rocky Point, Oregon , 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephew and cousins.

Ruth will be laid to rest at the VA Cemetery in Eagle Point next to her husband. Arrangements will be made by Funeral Alternatives of Medford. Services will be announced at a later date.
