Deborah Warnick Eagar

December 20, 1955 - September 6, 2018

Deborah Warnick Eagar was born in San Antonio, Texas, on December 20, 1955, to Robert and Carol Warnick. She grew up in Cache Valley, Utah, where she met her husband, James Ellis Eagar. In 1975, they were married for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Debi and Jim moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where Jim started his career. There they welcomed three daughters, Carrie, Kim, and Traci, to the family. In 1981 Debi and Jim handpicked the Rogue Valley as the place to raise their family, after which their 4th child, Justin, was born. Debi and Jim started Eagar Plumbing and have lived here ever since.

Debi was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved Jesus Christ and serving others in many church leadership and teacher positions. This service brought her joy and cherished friendships.

Debi was a graphic designer and artist. She had a gift for making simple things beautiful. She used her talents to build homes, remodel a historic guest house, arrange florals for many weddings, sew beautiful clothing, and produce graphic design and publications. She loved the beautiful flora of the Pacific Northwest and knew the plant species well. Her garden and flower beds were magical. Debi was also very politically active and offered valuable support in many state and local campaigns. Debi would say that she "tried," but for all that knew her, she seemed to excel at anything she set out to accomplish. At age 50, she started running for the first time. With the support of her sweetheart, she accomplished her goal of completing a marathon.

Of all her accomplishments, Debi would consider her grandchildren the greatest. Nana loved them fiercely and spared no moment creating memories with them. She loved to play games, travel, teach them arts and crafts, and attend any and all of their events, giving as much individual attention as possible.

Deborah is survived by her husband, James, of Medford; children, Carrie Burton (Matt) of Henderson, NV, Kimberly Haddock (David) of Medford, Traci Spires (Mark) of Medford and Justin (Lindsay) of Ashland; 11 adoring grandchildren; parents, Robert and Carol Warnick of Ephraim, UT; and all 5 siblings, Robert (Jill), Clark (Lisa), Kelly (Julie), Jon, and Faylyn Catmull (Greg).

The Eagar family wishes to thank the generous medical professionals who served Debi for more than three years as she fought an aggressive brain tumor. Our greatest appreciation goes to our church family, who have loved and cared for us as they would their own families.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 2900 Juanipero Way in Medford.
