Michael Fansler

November 14, 1943 - October 9, 2018

Michael passed away at home in Medford surrounded by loved ones. He will be deeply missed. Michael was born in Urbana, OH to Margaret and Woodrow Fansler. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Los Angeles, CA in 1968. He married his beloved wife, Marilyn, in 1981. Michael cared deeply about people and wanted to protect children. He worked as a probation officer for Jackson County and the Children's Advocacy Center for which he won the Jackson County Spirit Award.

His son, Zachariah was the light of his life along with step-daughters Carrie Di Napoli and Susan Purse. He was blessed with two grandchildren, Jakob Michael Fansler and Samantha Armitage and a great-grandson, Benjamin Meza. "We love you our wood carving, drum playing, tai chi master Dad and Grampa... You will be forever loved and missed."

Services will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. All are welcome.
