Lana Louise Nelson Carpenter

February 18, 2019

Lana passed away from heart failure on Monday, February 18, 2019. She was born on Sunday, July 4, 1948 to Roger and Leona (Schutt) Carpenter. Lana was the oldest of the 6 children.

She graduated from Medford High School in 1966. She then attended Sacred Heart School of Nursing, graduating in August 1969. Lana used this Registered Nurse degree working in the Pediatric department of Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Lana married Walter Nelson on May 23, 1970. They had one son, Brandon. She is survived by Brandon, his wife, Rebecca, and their sons: Tryson, Nicholas, and twins Ashton & Carson.

She is also survived by her siblings and their families. Darrell (Lanny); Jeane (Don) Adams; Bruce (Hyla Trost); Brian (Kaye); and Loena (Gary) Pogue. Her parents preceded her in dealth.

Lana was a very caring & loving person. She enjoyed spending time and sharing a meal with loved ones, family, & friends. Her hobbies were Star Trek, reading novels, & caring for her cats. She especially loved being a mother & grandmother. She will be greatly missed. No service is planned at this time.
