Herbert Leroy Wilson (Herb) of Medford died Monday, December 3rd at the age of 88. He was born June 8, 1930 to Roy and Etta Wilson in Kooskia, Idaho. In 1938 Herb moved to Oregon. After graduating from Medford High School in 1949, he attended the University of Oregon. Herb was drafted by the Army in 1951 where he served in the Korean War. After returning home he began working for Courtesy Chevrolet. If you lived in Southern Oregon, chances are you either bought a car and/or knew someone who bought a car from Herb Wilson throughout his 54 year career. He retired at the age of 78 as "Mr. Chevrolet!". Herb was a member of the Jacksonville Masonic Lodge and was Master in 1969. He was also a member of the Rogue Valley Country Club. Herb enjoyed fishing, golfing, and most of all being "Papa".

Herb had two grown children before marrying the love of his life in 1976, Deanna Weddle, who had two young children of her own.

Herb is survived by his wife Deanna, daughters Sandi Weddle Trask, Marsi Weddle Godfrey (Darrin), Sandra Snow (Steve), 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his son, Herb Neal Wilson. Memorial service will be held January 12, 2019 at Conger Morris at 2pm. 800 S. Front St. Central Point, OR 97502.

The celebration of life will continue at the Masonic Lodge, 975 North Phoenix Rd., Medford.
